There is one thing that typically comes to mind when you think of February: Valentine’s Day. For me, the month is filled with pink. The thought of a bright pop of color is just what I need after all of the cozy, warm colors of fall and winter.
All of the blush pink I’m seeing everywhere has made me want to completely re-do several of my spaces. It’s such a beautiful trend that adds light, feminine charm to any room.
Pink is typically associated with nurseries or a little girl’s rooms, but we’re not talking about just any pink. Beautiful, neutral blush pink is all the rage. It works best when added to a neutral room. If you’re not committed enough to the trend to paint a wall or purchase a sofa, try adding the pop of color with pillows, throws, rugs, and decorative items.
Accessorize
Blush pink acts as a white/beige neutral just with more pop, personality, and interest. I think it pairs best with golds, blues, and, of course, white. Think of all the spaces you can spruce up with this gorgeous, feminine hue:
Office – wall color, desk accessories, art
Bedroom – pillows, bedding, rug
Living Room – Decorative items, rug, sofa/chair, pillows, throws
Dining Room – Place settings, table scape, florals, art
I’ve listed some of my favorite blush pink accessories below so that you can be inspired to subtly add this lovely trend to your space.

Go Bold
If you’re feeling a little more daring, there are several barely-there pink paint choices to add to your walls. It’s much cheaper to purchase a $30 can of paint than a $1,200 blush pink velvet sofa.
Country Living – (Intimate White / Sherwin-Williams)
When choosing a blush pink paint, go for a muted shade with warm, beige undertones. Think of the color as being a white with a slight punch of nude pink.
Are you on board with me on adding pink to your home this spring? I may not paint a wall, but I’m certainly ready to add a bouquet of blush dahlias to my counter and new throws and pillows in my living room.
How have you added pink to your home?

February 8, 2017 at 3:49 pmI love the blush pink! I actually bought some pillow for our couch the other day, but that didn’t go over so well with the husband. I’m still trying to get him on board with the trend. lol

February 9, 2017 at 1:18 pmI’m definitely seeing a trend that so many of us want pink in our home but have husbands who may disagree with our tastes. Maybe I should come up with some tricks on how to implement pink without it being too feminine!

February 9, 2017 at 2:33 pmI love blush pink as well! It’s definitely hard to use pink with a husband who doesn’t like it. That’s why I’m going all out pink in the girls bedroom, I figure it’s acceptable there 🙂
